I found this article very interseting and informative on the two sides of the issues. I agree with Mullinax on how the church as a whole tends to be extremly close-minded and judgemental;however, that can go both ways. Those who support homosexuality tend to be close-minded as well and judge all Christians to be the same.

Also the whole verse "judge not lest ye be judged" is taken out of context. If you go by that verse on it's own, then you can say we have no right to judge Hitler or Osama Ben Ladin. Jesus did not say do away with the Old Testiment laws, he just modifyed them, and his coming is why we can wear mixed fabrics and not have to do sacrifices for mildew. I do agree that the church tends to be homophobic and it's for the same reason that's been present throughout history. We fear what we don't understand.

I'm a Christian and am proud to say so, but I will also admit I have my faults. I agree with Dirk that we shouldn't condemn people. "Love the sinner, hate the sin," as the saying goes. No matter which side you support, we all come to the same conclusion: we need to love all people. Get to know those who perfer the alternitive lifestyle and try to understand where they are coming from. You don't have to sacrifice your own beliefs to reach and help those around you. OPINIONS
