Many times Christians are said to be intolerant and close-minded. The truth is that as Christians we are called to be set apart. God has put us in this place right now to stand up for His truth. We live in a morally relativistic world, that says who cares everything is relative. What is right or wrong depends on whatever you think is right or wrong. But God has given us a measuring stick with His word. God's word is truth...absolute truth.

As followers of Christ we have to believe that, because everything else that we do revolves around that. It's not always going to be the easy thing to do, and it won't always make us Mr. or Ms. Popular. Choosing to hold up God as Lord and His word as truth is a hard life to live. This is why in Matthew 7.13-14, Jesus speaks of the narrow road and how many will never find it. Many will never find it because it calls us to a life that will be tough. We will have to say things that won't be well-liked; we'll have to stand for things that in the world's eyes will make us look like Jesus freaks. But in the end we will have something that will be worth living for and worth dying for.

We will have Jesus. And when the day comes and He asks us, "What did you do for me?" We can stand before Him and say that we held up His truth. If we tolerate moral relativism then we will someday be like the watchman in Ezekiel 33.3-6. God will hold us accountable for not warning people and we will be responsible when they die in their sins.

We are Christ servants; He has given us all that we need to go and to serve. And the best part is that He is with us! So am I intolerant? Yes! Because I love. I love so much that I don't want anyone to die and go to hell, never having known the truth.

So, if that means that I have to stand alone...I will. It that means that my words offend...so be it. If that means that I will be hated...ok. It's the price; Jesus paid it when He went to the cross. He was so intolerant that He died a criminal’s death on the cross out of love for you and for me, for the homosexual and the heterosexual.

Thanks to both Dr. Mullinax and Dirk for your willingness to speak on this issue...here's to ACEing the test!
