I feel as if Wes Martin's comments are correct. The alumni who support this school are rooted in Christian beliefs. When they were here on campus, they remember a campus free of this homosexuality. They came from a time where it was even wrong to hold hand on campus. If we allow such an organization to be a part of this college, we are just destroying what the college believes in.

The trustees and alumni who support this college will loose their faith about the college and this will result in them not donating money to the college. Thus in the end raising tuition because less money from alumni and trustees' means more money from students. I will be graduating soon and I do not want to remember my college experience as a college with a homosexual/straight club on campus.

Homosexuals complain about being critizied and being looked down upon, why have a club where they will stand out from the rest of the campus? Why single those people out? Will they gain any respect from it? No. This issue has been tried on MHC campus twice before this and both times has failed. I do not see a difference here.

Thanks for letting me comment on this.
