As a proud wearer of the pink band, I feel very strongly about this subject. I have put deep thought into this subject and have come to my opinion following this thought and reflection. I have struggled with how my faith fits into this subject and I have come to a conclusion.

I have also given thought to this particular club. I feel that if we consider some of the other clubs on the campuses, one could find them offensive also. For example, and this is not a personal attack, one may not believe the Republican (or Democratic) points of view. That does not mean that I wish these clubs should be disbanded or unrecognized. Rather, I would simply choose not to join these clubs.

I belive that the same thing could be applied to the Open Doors club. If one does not agree with it, simply do not join. That doesn't mean that you have to protest or make a fuss. That seems to show a smaller person. I believe that it takes a bigger person to acknowledge and respect something that they don't agree with than it does to raise a fuss over it.

I know this is a hot topic and causes much controversy and I understand, as a person of faith, how hard it is to struggle with. I respect others opinions and acknowledge the methods and reasonings behind their opinions.
