To comment on one of the first comments made, Mars Hill and its alumni can not live in the past. Times change. We are able to hold hands, dance, etc on this campus. Also, not all of Mars Hill's alumni are from the "golden olden days." I have heard stories of the less than perfect days of Mars Hill College from the children of MHC alumni.

The stories I have heard about drugs, sex, alcohol, etc would apparently make some certain students die of shock. Mars hill college has not, is not, and will not ever be the "picture perfect model college." No such thing exists, and it is ridiculous to think one can. There will always be people of conflicting beliefs.

I know of students on this campus, myself included, who are not Christian or define themselves by such a label, but that doesn't mean that we are anti-Christian. I think it is okay that there are Christian groups on this campus, even though I myself will not go out and join one.

Are you students who are against the Open Doors Club members of every organization represented in SGA? The answer is no! Each person here is entitled to their individual beliefs, regardless of whether they are considered wrong or right! That is the beauty of life. One can do as one wishes, as long as it does not injure someone else. And in my opinion, this organization does not do so!!!

Need i remind everyone that back in the day, in early AD, Christianity was a cult, and people were persecuted mentally, physically and spiritually for believing in a so-called blasphemer namedJesus. To all those opposed to Open Doors on the basis of religious beliefs: What if the world had kept the same close-minded mentality that you now hold today??? For all you know, you would be a Muslim or Buddhist or pagan or polytheistic worshipper!!!
