Senior Celebration Streamlined
by Richard Carrington
Pittman Dining Hall will soon be transformed into a festive setting for the seniors. This year on May 9th at 5:15 p.m the Senior Celebration, an event that once known as the Senior Banquet, will usher in a few changes.
The program will only run about 30 minutes, instead of last year's hour and a half prolonged piece. The shortened program will mean fewer awards and speeches, but it will leave more time for eating and conversing with your favorite professors.
There won't be any menus at this year's banquet, because the eating arrangements will be in a buffet format. A D.J. will also be in attendance, so guests can listen to a little swing and big band music while they eat.
Even the price of this year's gala affair is different. As always, seniors are admitted free of charge, but tickets for additional guests are just $10, and faculty and staff tickets have been reduced to $5.
Everyone planning on attending the Senior Celebration must RSVP by April 30th. Seniors, faculty, and staff should not miss out on this chance to say their goodbyes and give their thanks.
