The brothers of Delta Kappa Theta put on their annual Greek Goddess Pageant in the Loft on Sunday April 4th. The show started at 9:30 p.m.
As you first walked into the Loft, you were greeted by two brothers of DKT who collected $2 admission. Seats were lined along the runway for the spectators to watch the girls strut their stuff. The room was dim, and the fog machine was on, adding a goddess-like atmosphere to the stage. Music that you would expect in a gladiator movie played as the Delta Kappa Theta brothers came out from behind the curtain dressed in togas and stood around the stage.
Each girl walked down in her Sunday's best outfit, as all were introduced to the judges and the crowd. They were escorted back stage, only to come back out as a group.
The next round was the evening gown competition in which the girls walked out in prom-like dresses. This time around, a few facts of what each contestant liked to do in her spare time were noted by the announcer.
The next round was the 1970's theme, featuring 1970s attire. Afro wings, tie-dyed clothes, and other hippie attire dominated, as each girl came out disco dancing as her name was called.
While the crowd prepared for the final round, Prince Floyd and Lamar Wilson put on a dance-off to determine the best dancer in Delta Kappa Theta, as the song "Yeah" preformed by Usher (who was not present) hit the speakers.
Wilson did his own Usher-style dancing as Floyd looked on. When it was Floyd's turn, he did the popular "C-walking" dance in front of Wilson almost as a taunt. However, when the dance-off ended, Lamar Wilson was the winner.
Then, the gladiator music sounded again, and the fog machine blew that misty white smoke, while each contestant walked out dressed in Greek goddess togas.
The crowd waited as the judges tallied up the scores.

Fortunately, Amber Waters did not have to find a god-man among the brothers of DKT. She is photographed here at the Senior Games with hall-of-fame track coach (Lees-McRae) Fred Dickerson, 93.
