You don't need to know how to write. We'll teach you. We guarantee that you'll be able to write stories and polish them into publishable form. Your stories will appear online in the Hilltop.
In COM320, Interviewing and Reporting, you will become a Hilltop reporter. The course is an Arts Experience Connector that carries direct credit for Business Majors with a Communications Concentration and elective credit for English majors.
In COM321, Documentary Writing, you will learn how to handle longer projects and will have a broader chance to pursue your interests in depth. It, too, counts toward a Communications Concentration in a Business Administration major.
Both courses are conducted as apprenticeships with Mars Hill's Journalists-in-Residence, a husband-wife team whose professional experience ranges from Vietnam to Columbine.
Search for these courses on the IQ-Web e-registration system by typing COM320 or COM321 (no spaces) in the course line or browse all Communications options by just typing COM.
